OFFICE OF CHIEF CONTROLLER OF ACCOUNTS, MINISTRY OF SURFACE TRANSPORT (now devided into two Ministries, namely Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Shipping) is responsible for making payments, accepting receipts, preparing accounts, budget, conducting internal audit and internal work study of the MINISTRY OF SURFACE TRANSPORT, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.
